Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – also known as the WEEE Directive.
The objective of the WEEE directive is to increase recycling and/or re-use of identified electrical and electronic equipment to reduce its disposal to landfill or incineration. The legislation is intended to have a positive effect on the quality of the environment, protection of human health and utilisation of natural resources.
Organisations have the option of delegating their responsibilities to a collective compliance scheme. In order to comply with the WEEE Directive and ensure best customer support, Bright Green Connect has elected to follow this route and is a member of a B2B Compliance scheme.
